Get a Second Number for your Cell Phone with Voip.com

But there’s another new service being offered by Voip.com that’s bound to pique your interest, especially if you use your mobile phone a lot. It’s called Mobile Line 2 and quite simply, it’s a second number for your cell phone.
It works with any cellular service, and costs about 10 cents a minute. When you receive a call on your second number, the call is routed through the Voip.com network. You can choose to screen the call, answer the call, or let the call go to voicemail.
By adding a second number to your mobile phone, you can keep your personal number private. If you take work calls on your mobile, now you can keep work and personal calls separate. Or if you’ve got a happening social life and want to keep a number just for dating, Mobile Line 2 works for you too. You also get a free voice mailbox for your second number that you can customize with a personal message. Even if you change mobile providers or plans, you get to keep your Mobile Line 2 number.
To use Voip.com Mobile Line 2, all you need to have the following:
- Compatible mobile phone: Blackberry Cellular Phone with OS 4.0 (color devices) or greater, Windows Smartphone with PocketPC 5.0 or greater, or Java Enabled Cellular Phone
- Cellular phone service
- Internet connection/Data Plan. Note that cell phone providers may charge for Internet access
To use Mobile Line 2, you have to download Voip.com’s application to your phone by pointing the phone browser to www.voip.com/m.
Rates for Mobile Line 2 are as follows:
- 75 minutes: $8.75 per month
- 115 minutes: $9.95 per month
- 275 minutes: $14.45 per month
- 550 minutes $21.95 per month
- 825 minutes $29.45 per month
- 1100 minutes $36.95 per month
